Born Beautiful

Born Beautiful picks up from where the movie Die Beautiful ends. Transgendered woman Barbie Cordero is hired by Mama Flora as her funeral beautician, transforming corpses into gorgeous celebrity look alikes. Her crossing over to womanhood is fraught with second thoughts about her identity, about the multiple relationships she keeps, about finding the focus she somehow lost now that Trisha, her best friend is gone. But she also realizes that the people in her life, Michael Angelo, Gregory, Yumi, of varying genders and desires are what becomes her newfound family. The question in the end is: Will she finally cross that gender line?
